Hello and welcome to Marci Girl Designs, today is Giveaway Day at Sew Mama Sew! If you are here for the first time from Sew Mama Sew, I'd love for you to stick around and have a look, but if you don't have time, you can just enter to win some fabric, that is cool too!

Today's giveaway is five fat quarters of Juliana Horner fabric from JoAnn Fabrics! Are you familiar with Juliana Horner, you know daughter of the great fabric designer Anna Maria Horner? Well Juliana has designed 3 separate lines for JoAnn Fabrics and the giveaway today is from two of those lines. You see I was kinda on the fence about the first two lines she designed. I loved the actual prints, but the colors were far from my style and I just couldn't commit, until line three came out and I knew they were right up my alley! So I went to my local store, and started digging and ended up picking out my favorite prints, and these favorites are the five featured above. The first (brown latticework) is from her first line and the other four are from her third. They all play together nicely, don't you think?

If you would like to win this little collection, all you need to do is this:

I love to go see a great movie, but haven't checked any out for the upcoming season. TV seems pretty worthless to me in the summer, except I do enjoy watching the major golf tournaments. Weird, I know, but I understand the skill it takes to get the scores those players do, and find it a relaxing 'noise' to have in the background. Plus, typically no one gets gruesomely murdered during a golf tournament (something that happens frequently on a lot of tv shows, lol!)

I don't go to movies anymore as there is just to much violence and sex and screaming and just far to much "crap" to enjoy the movie! Not to mention totally unrealistic themes. TV movies are about the same! I like the old movies 1980's and prior and same with the tv shows. Id rather spend my time sewing!

Ray Donovan and Sons of Anarchy are returning soon... hmmm...I also loved The Killing. One of the best shows in my opinion, even though it was cancelled 2 or 3 times and then pulled back again for a final season now. Too bad. :)

Sorry to say that I am not up on what movies are coming out this summer. My big event this summer is that my 5th grandchild will be born in July!!! So I will spending a lot of time gazing at him or her. The fabric looks great - I used to shop at Joanne's all the time when I lived in San Francisco now I live on Vancouver Island in British Columbia Canada - fabulous place - nearer my grandchildren in Vancouver. Hope to win the gorgeous fabric and make a quilt - the colours go together so well so the hard part is already done!

Hard question - I don't have a working TV (well, the S.O. is using it as a monitor for his 12 year old computer!) and I don't have cable, Hulu, Neflix, etc.

It's been quite some time I've been really looking forward to new movies, nowadays I wait 'till they're on tv, usually only 2 years later. Also, I moved to a country where they syncronize every. single. movie. Except maybe for 1 or 2 low category "not too interesting" films. I dislike that. A lot. I want to hear the actors' real voice. So, have been to the movies only 3 times in the last 6 years... One Hungarian movie, Alice in Wonderland (traveled an hour to find a cinema who showed the original) and Les Miserables (too hard to translate entirely I guess... ;) ) Think I liked Alice best of those.
